Link to internal page?

Ted Vinke
Hi!

I was wondering: for our new website in dotCMS I wanted to prevent our
users to tamper with the site navigation (folders & pages), but I do
like to give them the ability to add content (from the created
structures) and link to a page in the same way I can link to a file or
image.

Is such a construction possible in a structure? Or planned as a furure
feature?

Regards, Ted

Well there are other things to consider here

1.  If you do not need to user to use edit mode you can restrict them
from the dotCMS web site browser all together.  Remove their
permissions to that portlet Maybe they only add/edit content

2. If they need access to other things in the browser you could remove
portlet access to htmlpages and file manager portlet and remove their
permissions to the folders that the pages are in so that in the
browser they cannot get to the pages.  They would of course be able to
get to the pages they can read and edit the pages they can edit.

Easiest ** 3. If the user only needs to read and not edit pages then
this would be the simplest as they cannot edit or effect navigation if
they can only read.  If they can read they can link to the page/image
in the edit contentlet page

Enjoy
